Visit Us

At California Breakfast Burritos, we know that sometimes all it takes to change the world is a little support and education. The core of our efforts is sharing our passion for burros and their partnership with people. Through our endeavors we hope to teach others about these magical animals. Since our founding in 2018, we have been determined to make an impact putting burros in purposeful active lives. California Breakfast Burritos provides options to Meet the Burros, Volunteer Opportunities, Hikes, Burro Bootcamps, and instruction on the proper handling of a Burro.

Teaching people about donkeys is what we do.  We would love to introduce you to them hands on with personal visit.

Visits are by appointment only, so please contact us to schedule. We are generally available Tuesday-Sunday.  Mornings work best as the desert gets warm and the donkeys want their dinner after 3 and stop being sociable.

We can also show you the regional BLM corrals located five minutes away.  There, up to a thousand captured burros and horses can be viewed while they are processed for adoption and sale.

We have many ways to volunteer that we can discuss after you visit and see more of what we do.

No cost but donations are appreciated and essential to our operations. No one is paid and staff are 100 percent volunteer.

Don’t come to the front door, the donkeys are outside.  Use the gate on the left to the backyard. Just lift it a bit and push to open.  Kindly close it behind you.

Please note that photos taken with the burros may be used for various purposes & social media.

"Working with CBB has been nothing but a pleasure! John & Karin are wonderful people with experience, knowledge and love for burros! Can't ask for a better combo! I'm so appreciative of the time and effort they've given to help me pick out my boys (and the knowledge they've shared)! I can't wait to participate in the Run with The Burros race!!"
